Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Water Utilities Sector for core ECS products and new opportunities from additional partner suppliers
Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with ECS’s commercial objectives
Engage early in the project lifecycle to influence client requirements and tender opportunities
Represent ECS at networking events, industry forums, and client meetings to build visibility and reputation
Act as the main point of contact for key water sector clients.
Ensure consistent communication, reporting and feedback with key accounts to foster long-term partnerships
Work closely with Sales Manager, Project Managers and Commercial Team to ensure alignment between tender and delivery
Work closely with commercial team to successfully negotiate contracts
Support the preparation and delivery of bid submissions, presentations and commercial proposals
Contribute to business planning and forecasting by providing market intelligence and pipeline updates
Work closely with project delivery teams to gather feedback and lessons learned for continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with ECS policies, procedures and relevant industry standards
Represent ECS values and act as a brand ambassador in all external interactions
Support internal reporting, KPI tracking, and monthly/quarterly business reviews as required
Participate in team meetings, training sessions and cross-departmental collaboration initiatives
Comply with company Health and Safety policies, procedures and codes of practice
Proven experience in Business Development, ideally in the water sector.
Good communication skills verbally and in writing
Highly competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Background in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering (Desirable)
Understanding of water industry procurement frameworks and operational challenges (Desirable)
