MMP Consultancy is seeking a Director of Planning and Regeneration on behalf of a local authority in South West London/Surrey. This is a 6-month ongoing contract with a day rate of £800 inside of IR35. Candidates can expect to work 3 - 4 days per week, with the minimum expectation of office presence being 2-3 days per week. Flexibility is key. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping place, driving regeneration and delivering sustainable growth across the borough, overseeing: Strategic Planning and the Local Plan Development Management and Planning Enforcement Building Control Regeneration and town centre renewal Economic Development, including skills, employment and business growthThe successful candidate will lead around 50 staff, manage a £3.5m revenue budget and oversee a capital programme of c. £10m, working closely with residents, developers, partners and elected members to deliver high‑quality, inclusive and design‑led development.
