We are looking for a new person to join our practice as an ATT
The team is currently composed of 8 Vets and 2 ATT's/Vet Techs. We are lucky to have a supportive and caring team that go the extra mile to make colleagues feel at home. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. TB testing will take place on a Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday – hours can be discussed and we can be flexible for the right candidate at 32-40 hours per week. You will need to work flexibly, with some early starts, followed by early finishes once all test paperwork has been submitted.
Our work covers a good mix of dairy, beef and sheep farms, camelids and smallholdings. At Scarsdale, staff training and development is highly encouraged. We are a teaching practice for final year vet students from Nottingham Vet School, and so part of the role will involve teaching.

Our ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering services on farm. Formal training will be provided and funded if necessary. Once trained, you will be responsible for performing TB testing, submitting tests and maintaining all required equipment. When not on the farm, you will be in the office getting involved in all aspects of running the practice, including organising the vet diaries, taking drug orders and booking tests, and you will develop responsibilities for our audits required for us to deliver these services.
Required for the role:
* A full driving license, as driving to and from farms is essential to the role
* 3 GCSEs or equivalent, to include English, Maths and Science
* At least 6 months' cattle handling experience
* Good communication and IT skills
* You will also need to be 18 years of age or over at the time that you start the position, in line with the government requirements for TB testers.
* The successful applicant will demonstrate a confident, positive attitude, have a keen eye for detail alongside empathy for the stress that TB testing places on clients, and discretion to maintain our strong client-focused relations.
* Knowledge and understanding of the current and ongoing fight to eradicate TB would be advantageous.
