Job Summary
We are recruiting a Recovery Practitioner for our Adult Drug and Alcohol Service in Redbridge, based in Ilford. This role involves providing evidence‑based, recovery‑focused care and support to service users, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver safe, person‑centred, compassionate support.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide recovery‑focused care and support to service users, ensuring safe, person‑centred, evidence‑based care.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice and strengthen recovery pathways.
* Develop and implement structured support plans, risk management, and motivational approaches to empower individuals throughout their recovery journey.
* Facilitate service users’ meaningful, sustainable change and support them in building relationships, returning to work or education.
Qualifications & Experience
Desired competencies include the ability to use evidence‑based psychosocial interventions applied to clear treatment pathways, demonstrate confidence in delivering structured support, care planning, risk management and motivational approaches, and a commitment to empowering individuals throughout their recovery journey. Knowledge and experience of substance use is important, but applicants with strong communication skills, compassion, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are encouraged to apply.
Benefits & Working Conditions
Working hours: 9 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday, usually with occasional late clinic rotation. Vacancy type: Permanent.
