About the role
The purpose of the Associate Finance Analyst - Business FP&A role is to be responsible for the day-to-day processing of forecasting and reporting routines. The role involves transactional processing, analysis, and adherence to Group controls following SOPs to execute tasks within SLAs and KPIs. The analyst will be part of the broader UK FP&A Team, working to implement standardised processes.
Role Accountabilities
Performance Reporting
* Prepare daily and weekly trackers, ensuring they are consolidated and circulated to management as per schedules.
* Maintain tracker files, developing new reports as needed.
* Review P&L and tracker info to detect errors.
* Support the Finance Shared Services Team in producing weekly/monthly P&Ls and reconciliations.
* Generate ad-hoc reports to support business performance analysis.
* Collaborate with the UK FP&A Team to streamline reporting and support decision-making.
* Build relationships with report users for ongoing relevance.
Forecasting
* Follow timelines for forecasting processes: 13-week Tracker, Quarterly Rolling Forecast, 3-year Business Plans.
* Prepare forecast data templates and analysis.
* Input forecast data into Cognos timely and accurately.
* Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for discrepancies.
Product Costing & Pricing
* Work with Procurement for price forecasting data.
* Assist with standards reset activities.
* Ensure pricing info is current and compliant with policies.
* Prepare variance reports and support ad-hoc costing analyses.
Communication and Change Management
* Build stakeholder relationships and communicate updates effectively.
* Work with teams to harmonise processes and improve efficiencies.
* Support projects including centralisation and IS transformation.
* Collaborate across finance functions to promote best practices.
Control Environment
* Support internal & external audit activities.
About you
Ideally, you will have knowledge of operational finance reporting, forecasting, analysis, and experience with ERP systems and reporting tools. Progress towards a professional accounting qualification (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is beneficial. Strong communication, data management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
