Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi‑billion‑pound global manufacturer, at their flagship UK site.
Due to a recent promotion, they are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities
* Carry out PPM's, reactive maintenance & continuous improvement projects
* Industrial electrical fault finding & problem solving, along with minor mechanical repairs
* Support reliability engineering, looking to make things run more efficiently
* Working on various production & packaging machinery, conveyors, automation & control systems
* PLC - electrical fault finding
* Use and regularly update the CMMS systems
* Dealing with industrial equipment, motors, sensors, servo drives, proximity systems, control panels, inverters, contactors, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics
Qualifications
* Must be an experienced electrical biased engineer or industrial electrician
* Level 3 qualified or higher in electrical engineering - apprenticeship trained
* PLC - electrical fault finding skills
* Must have worked in fast‑paced manufacturing previously
* Willingness to learn new things and suggest improvements
* Strong computer skills - using automated CMMS systems
* Must be able to read & follow electrical & pneumatic schematics & drawings
* Team player, but able to work on own initiative when needed
* Previously have worked on high‑speed production, processing & packaging machinery
