Job Purpose:

Full accountability for ensuring safety, quality, cost and delivery requirements are met through planning, organising and control of the production process to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Standards procedures.

Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships, implementing training programmes & regular appraisals and ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.


Key Responsibilities:

* Planning production schedule using factory management software.
* Implement, communicate, control and monitor the production schedule, review and adjust the schedule where needed.
* Work closely with planning to develop a robust production schedule.
* Continuously reviewing requirements of the order book to ensure there is always sufficient capacity in the factory to meet Customer needs.
* Manage human and material resources to meet production targets.
* Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met.
* Liaise with different departments, teams and companies, e.g. suppliers, managers.
* Responsible for carrying out continuous improvement activities to increase quality and reduce costs.
* Prepare and maintain accurate, meaningful production reports, with narrative, to include production costs, waste reports and improvements, and monthly management meetings.
* Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
* Analyse production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
* Supervise and motivate factory staff and ensure they are using the factory software.
* Continual review of staff performance and identify training required.
* Factory staff reviews, return to work meetings, and any disciplinary issues.
* Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management.
* Responsibility for the correct use and maintenance of all factory machinery & equipment.
* Ensure that all factory departments are kept clean & tidy, and security is maintained.
* Continuously review machine capabilities, make recommendations for improvement and replacement, where appropriate.
* Organise the repair of any damaged equipment.


Other Responsibilities:

* Ensure effective and collaborative working relationships with peers in all key areas.
* Keep systems and procedures within the Production area accurate and up to date.
* Carry out department Controls & Checks, and team observations to provide regular feedback for your team, and the business.
* Quickly and professionally resolve any concerns or questions that come from the Production teams.
* Effectively and accurately input information into our in-house management systems, and ensure all paperwork is to the company standard and available in a timely manner.
* Support with the recruitment, induction, and training of new starters to your team.
* As part of the Warrior Doors Management team, ensure excellent communication skills to promote teamwork and a collaborative working environment.
* Feedback on any product, process, or people improvements you identify.
* Support colleagues in their role and new starters into the team.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
* As a medium sized business, it is important you are prepared to roll your sleeves up and help wherever is needed to support the Customer or the Company.
* Adhere to our Health & Safety guidelines and those of the Health & Safety Act 1974.


Key Accountabilities:

* This role has overall accountability for ensuring all jobs leave the Production area to the highest quality standard and within the required timescales.
* Accountable for Health & Safety within the Production area, both your own teams and anyone who accesses that area.
* Accountable for the costs within the Production areas.
* Effective management and leadership of staff in your area delivering all required management disciplines, health and safety, motivation, support, development, and areas as directed by the Company Administrator.
* The accuracy and effectiveness of the Production teams and systems.
* Following the Production processes in place and making recommendations for improvements.
* As the business reviews and updates its processes and working practices, be flexible to embrace any changes or new ways of working.
* Carrying out the role with honesty and integrity, whilst demonstrating the company values, and with the company’s best interest at heart.
