Unlock Your Passions At Kenwyn Veterinary Centre Kenwyn Veterinary Centre is a dedicated Farm and Equine practice situated on Kenwyn Hill, just outside Truro. Our location offers excellent transport links, with easy access to the newly upgraded A30 and Newquay Airport for both domestic and international travel. The practice is within walking distance of Truro’s vibrant city centre and mainline train station, with a branch line to Falmouth. With stunning north and south coast beaches only a short drive away and the beautiful Cornish countryside right on our doorstep, it’s a wonderful place to live and work. At Kenwyn, we’re proud of our compassionate and dedicated team, made up of six vets, one ATT/vet tech, one support technician, and a fantastic administrative team who keep everything running smoothly. Within our close-knit group, we’re fortunate to have a PhD and DBR holder, as well as another team member currently working towards their CertAVP. We are a purpose built RCVS accredited GP practice for farm and equine with a compact service area, meaning you spend more time with clients and less time driving, although the views from the lanes are sometimes breathtaking! Our practice is equipped with an impressive range of tools and technology, including an equine gastroscope, endoscope, battery-powered digital X-ray, XV3 ultrasound scanner, Equinosis Q lameness detection system, motorised dentistry kit, and surgical laser. We have excellent facilities for in-practice investigations and hospitalisation, while remaining fully mobile for field work. For our farm services, we use EasiScan Go scanners, offer bull and ram fertility testing, pelvic measuring, and utilise an Ovacyte machine and dairy software. We’re also well equipped for in-practice surgery and the hospitalisation of sick calves. Enjoy a welcoming environment with structured support and flexibility to suit your lifestyle. You will work 40 hours per week, with regular hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Our current rota includes one night on duty per week (1 in 5) and one weekend on call every five weeks, covering Friday night through to Monday morning, with calls between 8:30am and 11:30am on Saturday. We also offer a half day off each week to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance. You will receive primary support from dedicated Vet GDP Advisor plus mentor support from 3 Senior Vets. No out of hours for first month at least, then fully supported transition to solo on-call with dedicated assistance. We hold regular practice meetings and have ample opportunity to catch up with each other on a daily basis.
