Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Team Leader role based in the Ormskirk Area. The Team Leader will oversee daily operations within the residential children’s service, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include managing and supporting staff, implementing care plans, overseeing regulatory compliance, and fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for children. The Team Leader will also provide guidance and mentorship to team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of care practices.
Qualifications & Experience
* Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
* Experience with therapeutic care practices and implementing person-centered care plans.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and professionals.
* Care Plan Development: Creating, reviewing, and updating care plans while ensuring they are followed correctly.
* Team Leadership: Managing and supervising staff, conducting shift briefings, and mentoring junior care staff.
* Clinical Support: Administering medication, managing needs, and conducting risk assessments.
* Compliance: Ensuring compliance with policies, health and safety regulations.
* Relevant experience in children's residential care
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and regulatory compliance standards.
* A compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with children.
* Required Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner
