The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Microbiology Technician with strong molecular biology skills to join our team. A key part of this role will be providing technical support for an exciting new Wellcome Trust–funded research project investigating how pH-mediated drivers of fungal virulence influence pathogenesis in humans. This research project sits within a research group focused on understanding the role of pH in soil/plant systems.
The post holder will contribute to both research and teaching activities within the laboratory, ensuring high-quality technical assistance, smooth day-to-day operations, and adherence to best practice in laboratory safety and quality control.
The project is delivered in collaboration with MRC University of Exeter, University of Dundee, MRC University of Cambridge and University of Jena offering excellent opportunities for training and collaboration within an interdisciplinary, multi-institution research framework.
Minimum Qualifications:
BSc (or equivalent qualification) in microbiology or molecular biology.
