About the Role: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support students with their learning and personal development, helping them to engage with lessons and build positive behaviours. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the wellbeing, confidence, and progress of students with SEMH needs. Responsibilities: Implement personalised support plans tailored to the needs of each student. Provide one-to-one or small group support to promote engagement and learning. Assist with behaviour management and help students develop positive strategies. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure comprehensive support. Maintain accurate records of student progress, activities, and wellbeing. Support students’ emotional and social development through structured interventions. Encourage independence, confidence, and self-motivation in learners. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEMH support worker is preferred. Understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs and strategies to support them. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of students. Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with students and staff.
