Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance and wealth management. We also have specialised relationship managers who support customers with bespoke requirements, including high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
HSBC Insurance, UK are responsible for the manufacturing, sourcing and supply of insurance products and services for HSBC UK, first direct, M&S Bank and Commercial Banking, with external distribution for several product lines under both the HSBC and other brands.
The purpose of the Sales Support Manager role is to support the HSBC Life investment bond Business Development Managers to achieve new business targets by helping advisers though the investment bond application process, dealing with adviser queries, managing the on -boarding of new distributors and the on-going management of existing distributors. This role is captured under the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) which requires continuous professional development (CPD) to be conducted annually

In this role you will:
* Manage key communications with distributors, planning and prioritising activities to ensure delivery in line with agreed objectives
* Support business change by using strong communication skills to build relationships and to identify and resolve issues in an efficient and effective manner
* Adhere to prescribed processes whilst demonstrating resilience through a complex governance and matrix managed business
* Role model our key business metrics (profit, brand, resource and cost) in your day-to-day role
* Assess, identify and implement opportunities for product improvement and mitigation of risk.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
* Working experience within insurance or financial services is essential (prior investment knowledge would be an advantage)
* The ability to manage conflicting priorities and challenging timescales with minimal supervision
* A proven track record of using strong and effective communication skills across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
* Robust planning and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* A demonstrable ability to identify the root cause of queries and provide accurate and timely solutions
This is a full time, hybrid role based in either Bristol or Whiteley.
