Your Role
Service Line: Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and Male Acute Mental Health.
Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton is our new state-of-the-art PICU & Acute hospital for men, in the West Midlands. The service features two wards: a 12-bed PICU ward and a 17-bed Acute ward. It has a full multidisciplinary team (MDT) supporting the acute mental health needs of adults requiring rapid access to care, including those needing an intensive environment.
Our Occupational Therapy Service at Cygnet Healthcare focuses on assessing and treating occupational dysfunction through purposeful activities, supported by evidence-based practices and clinical steering groups, with occupational therapists playing a key role.
Team and Development
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work autonomously, hold supervisory responsibilities, and lead specific projects. The role offers opportunities for learning, development, and research, supported by a structured supervision framework aligned with RCOT’s Career Development Framework.
Occupational Therapy Directorate
We support over 150 Occupational Therapists and 300 OT support staff across our services. Our team collaborates on service development and participates in specialist interest groups. Each service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to guide evidence-based practice and occupational therapy pathways.
