About the role
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You will actively embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the team with daily shop tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient and welcoming running of the shop.
Due to the nature of the role, you need to be 18 years or older.
Key Responsibilities
* Start your day in store and be responsible for:
* Checking your delivery routes for the day.
* Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
* Completing vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance, health, and safety standards.
* Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service as a priority.
* Helping customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
* Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential skills/experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to cope with physical requirements such as lifting crates and moving cages.
* Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literacy.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles are advantageous.
