Engineering Technician – New Product Introduction A permanent, full-time role based on site in Whitstable, Kent.
The Engineering Technician will support new product introduction activities by providing hands-on technical assistance between engineering and production. Key duties include assembling prototypes, performing electrical and environmental testing, recording build data, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining detailed documentation. Key responsibilities:
Assembling prototypes and low-volume builds
Perform electrical, hermeticity, pressure and environmental testing
Record and report build data and nonconformances
Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Support tooling setup and process improvements
Coordinate with quality during inspections
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsRequired skills and experience:
Mechanical aptitude with precision assembly tools
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing data
Experience with soldering, wiring and measurement tools preferred
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Accurate documentation skills
Competence with basic computer applications
Experience in manufacturing or technical assembly environments preferred
Engineering qualification advantageous but not essentialFlexibility and benefits:
