Are you a qualified HR professional looking for a role that offers strategic and project‑based work? Would you like flexibility to coincide with outside commitments? We are seeking a CIPD qualified, experienced HR practitioner to join our team to work with our medical staff at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading.
The role involves providing a full range of operational HR services to medical staff, advising managers on complex employee relations, HR policies, and organisational change. It is part of the People Partnering team and collaborates closely with the medical staffing team and the Medical Director.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional HR advice across a wide range of employee relations issues.
* Build and maintain credible relationships with Medical Leads and medical staff, communicating complex or sensitive information confidently.
* Act as point of contact for managers and staff seeking advice on employment policies, analysing queries to offer solutions.
* Advise managers on recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions and person specifications.
* Support strategic matters such as workforce planning, change management and transformation, employee engagement, and leadership capability development.
* Collaborate with medical leads to support the delivery of their people priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or equivalent experience.
* Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience in a generalist HR role with employee relations in a multi‑skilled professional and unionised environment.
* Ability to travel to multiple sites with minimal impact on daily productivity.
* Demonstrated ability to advise managers on complex employee relations casework, HR policies, and organisational change.
