Band 3 Data Support Officer
The closing date is 28 October 2025.
The post holder will work as part of the Admin and Clerical team in Acute Medicine. They will be primarily responsible for accurately inputting confidential patient data into systems and using multiple data sources and analytical tools to provide insight and support clinical and operational decision making in Acute Medicine. The post involves a wide range of administrative tasks required by the Acute Medicine Directorate. This post will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Main duties of the job
To accurately input patient data into relevant databases in a timely manner. The ability to validate data using multiple Trust systems and data sources simultaneously within strict time constraints. To ensure data completeness, accuracy, and compliance with data quality standards. The ability to identify errors in data sets to improve data quality. Able to analyse complex information and produce reporting to aid in departmental decision making.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C GCSE LEVEL 9-4
* Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
Experience
* High level of competence in Microsoft Office programmes, including Excel. Word, PowerPoint, Access etc.
* Excellent track record in accuracy.
* Familiar with basic data manipulation including identification, accessing and downloading of data, design set up and development of data entry systems
