Housing Homelessness Lawyer

This is a full-time project-based role for 8 months, focusing on homelessness cases within a local authority. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling legal challenges and providing support to team leaders and duty managers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Familiarity with the statutory responsibilities of local authorities regarding homeless duties.
\
2. Ability to handle legal challenges from homeless applicants, advocates, and representatives.
\
3. Providing advice and support to team leaders and duty managers in escalated cases.
\
4. Preparing correspondence to respond to legal challenges.
\
5. Handling telephone enquiries from applicants, advocates, and legal representatives.
\

Requirements:
\
\
6. Comprehensive understanding of the statutory responsibilities for local authorities in relation to homeless duties.
\
7. Familiarity with handling legal challenges from homeless applicants, advocates, and representatives.
\
8. Ability to provide support and advice to Team Leaders and Duty Managers in cases where legal challenges are escalated.
\
9. Capacity to prepare correspondence (electronic and hard copy as appropriate) to respond to legal challenges.
\
10. Proficiency in handling telephone enquiries from applicants, advocates, and legal representatives as appropriate.
