L3Harris’ Bristol location is the Headquarters for our Maritime UK business – a leading global supplier of integrated marine control systems and simulation products for warships, submarines and high-end commercial marine vessels worldwide. Since its inception, L3Harris has continuously iterated upon our Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) technology and successfully exported and delivered the system to over 300 vessels across 27 navies worldwide. We have additional Maritime UK sites in Burgess Hill, Barrow-In-Furness and Portchester. Together, we are powering the Royal Navy’s adoption of autonomous surface vehicle technology as well as delivering autonomous capability to UK ports, harbours and offshore energy service providers.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

11. Tasks are performed in conjunction with program managers and functional managers
12. Generate financial reporting packages and provide counsel to program managers on variances
13. Baseline development and maintenance, performance management and estimate at complete development and analysis
14. Implement, monitor, report and analyse program budget and / or schedule
15. Perform earned value management including implementation, maintenance, reporting and analysis
16. Organise cost and / or schedule date for monthly program reviews
17. Prepare and monitor funding plans labour and subcontract / material / ODC forecast plans
18. Complete analyse date for monthly forecast review including orders, sales, operating income and cash
19. Prepare ETC / EAC estimates from program staff input
20. Participate in presentations and group discussions at internal and external financial / schedule meetings
21. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the organisation to maintain a positive and productive work environment
22. Perform other duties as required

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

23. Preference for a minimum of 2 years’ prior related experience
24. Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with recognised accountancy qualification
25. Excellent interpersonal skills to achieve effective partnerships and relationships in a multi-discipline environment
26. Displays a high level of respect, diplomacy and tact when dealing with stakeholders
27. Resilient, highly flexible and a naturally inquisitive individual
28. Advanced user of MS Office Suite including Excel modelling
29. Experience with Earned Value Management – preferred but not essential
30. Experience with PowerBI - preferred but not essential
