Role Overview
We are launching our third NCC Mockingbird constellation this autumn and are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Supervising Social Worker to join as our new Liaison Social Worker. The Liaison Worker will support and supervise hub home carers and up to ten fostering families, based in Newark and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
* Support and supervise hub home carers and up to ten fostering families.
* Participate in monthly constellation activities (e.g., alpaca walking, pumpkin picking, pizza making) – may involve a weekend day, with a day off in lieu.
* Support other areas of the wider fostering service as needed to complete remaining hours (full‑time workers only).
* Play a key role in building a safe and nurturing community for foster carers and young people.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in social work, preferably with foster care and/or community support.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
* Ability to undergo appropriate checks.
