What You'll Be Doing
* Support children with nighttime routines and respond to any needs during the night
* Encourage independence and build confidence through calm, consistent care
* Follow and maintain personalised care plans in collaboration with each child and their support network
* Provide emotional reassurance and create a peaceful, nurturing overnight environment
* Assist with early morning routines and help children prepare for the day ahead
* Keep accurate, timely records of care and interactions during the shift
* Use IT systems for documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures
Shift Pattern & Pay
* 12.5-hour shifts: 8:00pm – 8:30am
* Average of 3–4 shifts per week
* Pay range: £12.44 – £15 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and skillset
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children or in a residential/childcare setting is highly desirable
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for connecting with children, families, and professionals
* Confidence in following and contributing to individualised care plans
* Comfortable using IT systems for clear, consistent documentation
* A valid driving licence is preferred to support transport needs
* Compassionate, trustworthy, and grounded—especially during quiet or challenging overnight hours
