Care Assistant (Island Placement, £21/hr Umbrella)
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Care Assistants to join our team for placements within care homes located on the Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles, and Argyll and Bute regions. This is an urgent requirement with a focus on providing exceptional care. Successful candidates must be available to commence work immediately.
Responsibilities:
* Providing direct care and support to adults within a care home setting, adhering to established care plans.
* Assisting residents with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring resident well-being.
* Ensuring a safe and supportive environment, including undertaking lone working duties where required.
* Performing moving and handling tasks safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 1 year's experience supporting older adults in a care setting.
* Previous experience within a care home environment is highly preferred.
* Proficiency in providing personal care, safe moving and handling, and medication administration.
* Flexibility to work a minimum of 5-6 days per week, with shifts typically between 07:00 - 22:00, and potential for night work.
* Experience in island or remote placements is advantageous.
* While a driving license is preferential due to distances, it is not a mandatory requirement.
* Please note: While we are seeking to provide comprehensive care coverage, gender preference for female staff has been specified due to particular personal care requirements, though male staff may be utilized in certain circumstances.
Employment Details:
* Contract Type: Minimum 3-month contract length.
* Hours: 45+ hours per week, with potential for split shifts or long days.
* Pay Rate: £21 per hour (Umbrella) or £17.91 per hour (PAYE Rolled up).
* Location: Placements will be on Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles, or Argyll and Bute. Candidates must be willing to travel to these locations from anywhere in the UK.
