This role requires staff to work as an occupational therapist alongside some lead practitioner responsibilities and provide 1-1 and group interventions. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with service users & the families on your caseload to create care plans that meet their needs and maximise their participation in everyday life.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to complete robust clinical assessments, an ability to effectively support and reduce risk, inclusive care and treatment planning as well as robust caseload management.
You will be supported by the Divisions Specialist Occupational Therapist, the wider MDT and our partnership OT colleagues to promote and develop the role of Occupational Therapy within this clinical area. You will be actively encouraged and supported to implement evidence-based practice changes, and develop your own knowledge and experience, and that of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in the role of OT, and the nine key OT interventions delivered within the service. You will actively participate in the screening of OT referrals received via the OT referral pathway within the service, and attend regular in-service OT meetings and education sessions.
