Head of Cloud Services

Microsoft Cloud / Managed Services Leadership

Stratford-upon-Avon – Hybrid

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Bonus + Future EMI Scheme


This is one of those roles that doesn’t come along all that often.


They’re a growing Microsoft-focused cloud services business with real momentum, a strong customer base, and the kind of setup that gives a senior leader genuine room to make their mark.


Helping organisations modernise securely and cost-effectively across cloud productivity, hosting, managed IT services, and data consultancy, typically working with customers already invested in Microsoft Cloud who want to get more productive, secure, and compliant.


It’s a chance to step into a scaling business, work directly with the CEO, and help shape what the next phase looks like.


They need someone who can lead from the front across managed services, professional services, customer success, and partner engagement, while still bringing enough technical credibility in Modern Work and/or Azure to win trust with customers, engineers, and Microsoft alike.

The Role

As Head of Cloud Services, they’ll take ownership of the end-to-end performance of the cloud business, balancing growth, service quality, operational maturity, and customer experience.


You’ll work closely with the CEO on P&L, help shape the managed services portfolio, support pre-sales and solution framing, and make sure delivery is commercially sound as well as technically strong.


Also strengthening how the business runs day to day, from SLA performance and service quality through to team structure, accountability, partner engagement, and continuous improvement. It’s a leadership role with plenty of scope, but it needs someone who’s comfortable staying close to the detail when needed.


What they’ll be doing

* Owning the commercial and operational performance of the cloud services function
* Working with the CEO on P&L, quarterly planning, growth targets, and overall business performance
* Refining managed services packaging, pricing, and proposition strategy for SMB to mid-market customers
* Partnering with sales and marketing to shape, scope, and close the right opportunities
* Leading solution framing, commercials, Statements of Work, and value-led pre-sales activity
* Overseeing reliable, secure, and cost-effective service delivery across Microsoft 365, Intune, Endpoint Management, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Azure infrastructure, AVD, networking, and identity services
* Improving operational maturity across incident, request, problem, and change management
* Building stronger customer success motions, including adoption, QBRs, roadmaps, and account growth
* Leading and developing multidisciplinary teams across operations, projects, and customer management
* Driving stronger Microsoft partner alignment, co-sell activity, funding engagement, and relevant solution designations
* Supporting governance, risk, and compliance activity, including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials processes


What they’re looking for

* Proven leadership experience within a Microsoft-focused MSP or managed services environment
* A track record of owning both commercials and service delivery in a scaling business
* Strong technical credibility across Modern Work and/or Azure
* Experience shaping and closing solutions through strong pre-sales, discovery, and scoping
* A background building operational maturity, service standards, and measurable SLA/OLA performance
* Strong people leadership across technical and non-technical teams
* Comfortable working at both strategic and hands-on level
* Able to build trust with customers, internal teams, Microsoft, and partner stakeholders


Nice to have

* Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MD-102, AZ-104, AZ-305, or SC-100
* ITIL
* Experience with Microsoft partner programmes, designations, and CSP motions
* Familiarity with ISO 27001 or similar security / quality frameworks

Location

Stratford-upon-Avon based, with a hybrid pattern of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the office, regular in-person time at the Stratford-upon-Avon site, and UK-wide client travel as required.
