Job Description
The successful candidate will work within the Research & Development Department to perform a variety of machining tasks supporting current and new programs, often working to tight deadlines.
This role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings and following engineers' instructions, using a range of machinery (CNC and conventional) to produce parts.
The candidate must adhere to company processes, including safety protocols, standard work procedures, and quality standards.
Additional Information:
* The role supports core hours from 8:00 to 16:30, with flexible work arrangements to be discussed.
* Approximately 85% of the time will be spent on build shop operations, with 15% dedicated to training and process improvement activities.
* Applicants should be self-motivated and possess good teamwork skills.
Required Skills:
* Experience operating conventional lathes, milling machines, grinding, boring machines, and/or CNC programming/operation.
* Experience using measuring equipment, such as vernier calipers, depth gauges, and thread gauges.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Qualifications such as an apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Machining, or equivalent.
* Previous experience in coordinating work or leadership roles.
* Desirable: experience using Haas ST 10 with Fanuc control.
