Advanced Pharmacist

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Advanced Pharmacist to join our professional team, providing specialist pharmaceutical care to patients accessing the HIV and sexual health services within Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Experience in HIV and sexual health is preferred, but not essential; specialist training will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Act as a clinical specialist and support the Lead Specialist Pharmacist in providing specialist pharmacy services to the sexual health service, including prescribing, support work, and developing initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with service users, families, friends, and carers to enhance their experience of care.
* Serve in a key leadership role, acting as a role‑model for colleagues and ensuring effective care planning in collaboration with services users and carers.
* Facilitate reflection on service delivery and identify quality improvement work.
* Hold a full UK driving licence if the role requires driving.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* General Pharmaceutical Council Registration as a pharmacist.
* Master's level qualification (e.g., MSc in Pharmacy) with continued professional development or equivalent demonstrable experience.
* Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification, or near completion of the course.
* Leadership/management/coaching qualification.
* Good Clinical Practice Certificate.
* Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
Experience
* Experience preparing protocols or guidelines, undertaking audits and reporting results, presenting at local/regional level, and preparing budgetary reports.
* Post‑registration experience as a clinical pharmacist at a high level within a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience leading and managing teams, developing policy and service development plans.
* Experience with change management and managing health‑related projects or complex caseloads.
* Contributions to regional or national specialist interest groups, publications and/or conferences.
* Experience in both community and hospital pharmacy.
* Experience leading pharmacist‑led clinic.
Knowledge
* Understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance relevant to the care setting.
* Evidence of continued relevant professional development and implementation in practice within the last 12 months.
* Ability to develop effective partnerships to achieve practical outcomes across organisational boundaries.
* Experience supporting others as a mentor, educator or supervisor.
* Active membership of the HIV Pharmacy Association (HIVPA) and the British HIV Association (BHIVA).
* Experienced prescribing in a specialist area.

* Salary: £49,387 to £56,515 per annum (pro‑rata).
