Overview
The Door Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the premises. This position involves overseeing the entrance and exit points, ensuring that all patrons comply with regulations, and providing a safe environment for both staff and customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills and a proactive approach to loss prevention.
Duties
* Monitor and control access to the venue, ensuring only authorised individuals are permitted entry.
* Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV to identify any suspicious behaviour or potential security threats.
* Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
* Respond promptly to incidents, providing first aid assistance when necessary and coordinating with emergency services as required.
* Maintain a visible presence to deter anti-social behaviour and ensure compliance with licensing laws.
* Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security breaches or disturbances.
* Collaborate with management and staff to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a security role, particularly as a Door Supervisor or similar position, is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
* Proficiency in operating CCTV systems effectively.
* Valid First Aid certification is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people.
* Strong observational skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying potential risks or issues.
