Vehicle MET Technician opportunity in Swansea Our client, a reputable and well-established independent accident repair centre in Swansea, is seeking a skilled Vehicle MET Technician to join their dedicated team. Benefits: Competitive starting salary up to £18 per hour, dependent on experience and current earnings Overtime available at time and a half rate 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays Full in-house training and ongoing professional development Long-term career progression within a respected South Wales-based accident repair group Working hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with summer hours 1 hour earlier Supportive team environment with a focus on quality and safety Duties of a MET Technician: Accurately and efficiently undertake removal and reassembly of mechanical, electrical, and trim components on vehicles Identify hidden damage post-stripping and collaborate with colleagues to compile parts and labour estimates Complete all work in accordance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations Support the diagnosis of damage and ensure repairs are carried out to high standards MET Technicians Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and customer expectations Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of work carried out Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a professional workshop environment Requirements: Recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair or working towards an IMI qualification Individuals with extensive hands-on experience in vehicle body repair/strip and fit will also be considered Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Able to work independently and as part of a team, multitasking effectively during busy periods Full UK driving licence with minimal points Proven track record in vehicle MET work, preferably within a busy accident repair environment This is an exciting role for a Vehicle MET Technician looking for stability, career growth, and a supportive working environment.
