Main duties of the job
We offer childcare from the ages of 3 months to 5 years in our bright and airy nursery. The nursery has dedicated craft and messy play areas and access to a large and secure outside space, providing opportunities for adventure for children. We also have cosy sleeping areas for when children need to rest.
In this role, you will be looking after a group of children and ensuring that all their needs are met during the day. You will plan fun and engaging activities and support each child's development.
Taplins operates two purpose built day nurseries supporting our local NHS staff. As part of the UHS family, you will have access to generous holiday allowance and discount scheme.
Working hours
We are open Monday to Friday from 7am to 6:30pm, closed on bank holidays. Hours can be discussed at interview but generally involve 2 × 9‑hour days and a 4‑hour day.

Person Specification
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
* Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GCSE pass level or equivalent.
* Willingness and ability to undertake Food Safety training.
* Recent experience of working with 3 months to 5 year olds within a childcare setting.
* Willingness and ability to undertake Level 3 Qualification in Early Years and Childcare.
* Current paediatric and/or first aid at work certificate.
* Current food hygiene certificate.
