What You'll Be Doing:
My client is looking for an enthusiastic and driven
Assistant Management Accountant
to join their Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering timely, accurate monthly management accounts and supporting the wider business with financial insight.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
* Assist with the preparation and reporting of subsidiary and Group management accounts.
* Support month-end close, including cashbook, sales, purchase and nominal ledgers.
* Maintain and reconcile fuel stock, fuel card usage, fixed asset, and HP registers.
* Prepare monthly journals and post payroll and expenses from Sage Payroll to Opera 3 SE.
* Conduct variance analysis for Agency Labour, Plant Hire, Overheads and Trade Waste Operations.
* Produce MI and analysis including sales and profit reports for senior management.
* Assist with budgets, forecasts, and audit preparation.
* Provide holiday cover for weekly payroll processing and support ledger and credit control teams when required.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
* Part qualified accountant with recent experience in finance processes and reporting.
* Highly proficient in Excel with strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
* A great communicator who can explain financial information clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues.
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Proactive and committed to continuously improving processes.
* Experience in high-growth companies, knowledge of VAT/corporation tax, and Power BI skills are a bonus.
