Grounds Gardener
The closing date is 23 September 2025
Overview
The Grounds and Gardens team maintains grounds and gardens across Health Board sites to a high standard. The department is split into three regional teams, each base supporting the operation of Grounds and Gardens services across the Health Board.
Main duties
The post holder will regularly cut and maintain specific scheduled lawn areas across sites not maintained by contracted services, and may work with external contractors where necessary. You will trim and prune flowers, trees (including ivy) and shrubs in line with good gardening practice to prevent foliage overhanging pathways, roadways, drainage gullies and manholes. The post holder will undertake seasonal on-call duties supporting site gritting and snow clearance outside normal working hours, at all sites as requested, supporting the service provided by the external adverse weather contractor. Use of equipment and machinery will support these duties.
