What will you be doing?
Within our Family Safeguarding Teams, you will work alongside adult-focused practitioners, inform assessments and plans in specialist areas of substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health. You will also work with children and families experiencing complex neglect, sexual harm, physical harm, risks outside the home, child exploitation, and parental learning difficulties. You will work with parents and the wider family network, using Family Group Conferencing to support them in identifying strengths, tackling problems, and changing interactions and behaviours.
Qualifications and experience
* Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England
* Experience working with children and families in social work within a Local Authority team
* Experience of work within family courts is desirable
* Passionate about relationship-based social work and able to reflect and think creatively
* Competent IT user, able to use or learn LiquidLogic
* Full driving licence and own vehicle required for travel

The team for the Mendip area is based in Shepton Mallet. Flexible hybrid working combines office time with home working.

Salary: £37,280 to £41,771 per annum
