Role: Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum Overtime @ 1.5x / 2x Saturday PM Hours: Monday-Friday Day Shift Job Type: Full time, Permanent The Package: • 25 days annual leave Bank Holidays Holiday Buy Scheme • Company Pension Scheme Salary sacrifice scheme to increase contributions • Overtime available and paid at 1.5x / 2x Saturday PM • Company Van fuel card for all commuting to and from site, as well as travelling to other sites across the West Midlands • Broad learning and career progression opportunities with plenty of training on offer The Duties: • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance system for the site and respond to unplanned plant shutdowns and emergencies where required • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on plant equipment • Support plant improvement projects and upgrades • Respond to unplanned plant shutdowns and emergencies • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, as well as external contractors • Travel to other sites in the West Midlands as required The Requirements: • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience within heavy engineering (essential) • Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment (essential) • Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge (essential) • Experience and understanding of mechanical maintenance of equipment including conveyors, pumps, pipes, valves, filter systems, gear boxes etc (essential) • Basic electrical understanding surrounding fault finding and basis maintenance / repair (advantageous) • Strong welding understanding and skillset (advantageous) • Full UK driving licence About Interaction Recruitment: Interaction Recruitment has specialist consultants across various industries in the UK, including Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial, and Hospitality.
