An established engineering organisation within the environmental and industrial services sector is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role is based full-time at a Peterborough site, which supports large-scale industrial equipment and a fleet of mobile treatment units.
đ The Role
Youâll be responsible for the assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems across a range of specialist equipment.
âïž Key Responsibilities
* Fabrication, installation, and documentation of electrical systems
* Working with single-phase, three-phase, low-voltage, and extra low voltage circuits
* Preparation and termination of electrical wiring
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
* Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults and proposing solutions
* Configuration of instrumentation
* Testing systems involving PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and relays
* Electrical and mechanical commissioning of bespoke equipment
* Carrying out quality inspections, testing, and repairs of equipment
* Electrical inspection and testing (EIC, EICR, PAT)

Requirements
* City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) â essential
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Proven experience within industrial electrical environments
* Experience wiring and fault-finding PLC-controlled systems
â Desirable
* City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
* Passport to Safety (or equivalent)
