Job Description
Stannah is looking to recruit ambitious Apprentice Lift Engineers to join our Maintenance and Repair division. You will cover a route across Gateshead and the surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn and continue your education. You will receive a starting salary of £17,164, reviewed regularly based on performance. Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 – 4:45, Friday 8:00 – 3:45.
Responsibilities
* Shadow qualified engineers assisting with the servicing and repair of lifts.
* Attend distance learning courses and complete coursework on time and to a high standard.
* Attend training and mentoring sessions, both in person and online.
* Participate in at least 20% off‑the‑job training.
* Demonstrate the aptitude and behaviours of a future Stannah Lift Engineer.
Training and Development
* Duration of 40 months.
* A mix of practical, mentoring and structured learning at our training centre.
* You will achieve a qualification in Lift Engineering.
Qualifications
* Achieve a minimum of GCSE Grade 4–9 (A–C) passes in Maths and English.
* Have a keen interest in engineering or practical experience working in a related role.
* Have a valid driving licence or be working towards one.
