The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Designer to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing design layouts, detailed drawings, and procurement schedules for height safety projects. You will liaise closely with project teams, clients, and suppliers, ensuring solutions are practical, safe, and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend project reviews and handover meetings for new business.
* Quantify materials and produce detailed project take-offs.
* Prepare design layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
* Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as required.
* Prepare and manage procurement schedules.
* Perform monthly stock checks and general administration.
* Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and suppliers.
Skills & Qualifications:
* High level of computer literacy; proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.
* Numerate, analytical, and detail-oriented.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous building design experience is advantageous.
* Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
* Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable Experience:
* Experience in the construction or similar industry.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving and mathematics skills.
* Advanced AutoCAD experience.
