THE ROLE:
Gladstone are seeking a new product owner to join their experienced team to own the consumer vision. Helping consumers to easily access leisure facilities and manage their own fitness journeys. This role will be focused on both web and native app solutions.
The Product Owner is responsible for planning, leading, organising and motivating agile project teams. You will be operating in a fast-paced environment and will likely be responsible for managing several concurrent product initiatives. Product Owners at Gladstone have vital inward and outward facing roles working with customers, sales, customer support, training, and development teams. Focused on delivering the best possible product for Gladstone’s customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Take ownership and drive product vision forward alongside a great team of amazing and collaborative people
2. Champion user experience at every turn, creating solutions that are simple to use which enable consumers to self-serve
3. Work closely with internal cross functional teams to help lead your product initiatives from cradle to grave, overseeing the entire product lifecycle.
4. Own the product backlog, defining the scope and leading requirements gathering and working alongside the development team to break down stories.
5. Act as the ‘Voice of the customer’ within the R&D department
6. Supporting the scrum master in facilitating sprint planning and execution.
7. You will provide regular product updates to executive team and to the company.
8. Be a driving force for positive change throughout the business at both product and process level and be seen as an expert on customers, the market, and competitors.
What you will need to succeed:
9. Experience in a similar role with a track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects
10. Experience in project delivery
11. The ability to build cross-functional collaboration with development, design, marketing, sales, and other departments
12. An analytical mind that can work in a fast-paced environment
13. Be a true owner of your product
Extra kudos if you have:
14. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Scrum Alliance
15. Any experience of project with a heavy UI / UX design component is a distinct advantage

18. Experience of developing and presenting product roadmaps to senior stakeholders and managers
19. Experience of managing multi-functional project teams
20. Experience in Agile methodologies
21. Be able to demonstrate the ability to analyse and document complex product requirements, mapping out feature sets, and producing a delivery plan
22. A creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
23. Flexibility: understand that business priorities change; able to adapt and move quickly to cater to this.
