Overview
The Cumberland Children Advice and Support Service (formerly the Safeguarding Hub) are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Social Worker to join a service that is passionate about making the right decisions for children and families at the right time.
Salary: £42,839 to £44,075 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Cumbria House, Carlisle
Contract: Permanent
The Cumberland Children Advice and Support Service has a responsibility to accurately identify the needs of children, young people and their parents and carers and to ensure that the appropriate services and support are provided at the right time, allowing safeguarding outcomes to be achieved.

Responsibilities
* Respond to risk and prioritise safeguarding and support needs for children.
* Work within an experienced multi-agency team to make sound decisions that keep children safe.
* Identify and articulate the needs of children, young people, and their families to ensure appropriate services are provided at the right time.

DBS Checks
This role requires a DBS check. The level of check for this role is: Enhanced DBS check with a Children’s and Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults and Children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults and Children.
