What we do
This role is at our Bakkavor Meals site in Park Royal - West London, across three factories and one distribution centre. The factories produce chilled ready meals, houmous dips, deli products & savoury accompaniments, employing over 2,000 people.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and motivated Raw Materials Quality Auditor to join our technical team. You will be accountable for ensuring industry-leading standards of product safety, quality & legality.
Role Accountabilities
1. Assess all incoming deliveries against pre-determined raw material specifications.
2. Maintain accurate records of all raw materials (including packaging) entering the site.
3. Collect samples for microbiological, nutritional, quality, and chemical testing as per schedule and report progress promptly.
4. Coordinate daily activities to improve Technical KPIs under guidance from Line Manager.
5. Participate in technical audits, including customer and Group Technical audits, ensuring all raw material information is available and completed on time.
6. Audit compliance against Quality Management Systems, GMP, and HACCP controls, raising non-conformances with objective evidence and communicating effectively for corrective actions.
7. Develop relationships with suppliers, communicating non-conformances and monitoring responses and root cause analysis.
8. Investigate customer complaints related to raw materials, ensuring corrective actions are documented and reported.
9. Log non-conformances for monitoring and trending supplier performance.
10. Operate safely and support continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.
About you
You will be driven, highly motivated, and eager to learn. Attention to detail is crucial, as accurate documentation is essential.
You should be an excellent communicator, capable of liaising with other departments and working independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong computer skills are necessary. You should demonstrate respect, trust, pride, customer focus, and a commitment to doing things right.
