Group IT Project Manager

About the Role
We’re working with a high-growth, Private Equity Backed, retail group currently undergoing an exciting period of transformation. They are seeking a proactive and hands-on Group IT Project Manager to join their Group IT team. This permanent position reports into the Group IT Director and offers a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of key business and technology projects across functions such as Commercial, Finance, HR and Payroll.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the coordination and delivery of business and technical projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
2. Define project scope and objectives, engaging relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
3. Develop detailed project plans, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress
4. Manage changes to scope, schedule and costs through appropriate controls
5. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RAID logs and formal reporting to IT leadership
6. Oversee quality control, risk and change management processes
7. Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to manage interdependencies
8. Engage stakeholders across Group and Regional IT, Finance, Commercial, HR, Payroll, Legal and Retail Operations
Requirements
9. 5+ years’ project management experience within Retail, FMCG, or Hospitality
10. Proven experience managing multiple, high-profile IT projects across key business functions
11. Demonstrated end-to-end delivery of CRM, CDP, and cross-functional IT projects
12. Proficient in MS Project and Proggio (or similar portfolio/project management tools)
13. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
14. Strong supplier management and business analysis capabilities
15. Demonstrated ability to work with detailed project controls and documentation
16. A proactive, delivery-focused approach with the ability to manage pressure and prioritise effectively

Group and Regional IT departments, Finance, Payroll, Commercial, HR, Retail Operations (Site Operations, Site Finance), and Legal.
