What You'll Be Doing
As an SEN Classroom Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to thrive within the school environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with their learning activities, personal development, and care needs.
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Building positive, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported, and valued.
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons across a broad and balanced curriculum.
Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.What We're Looking For
We're seeking individuals who are patient, compassionate, and committed to helping children succeed.
You will ideally have:
Experience working within special educational needs settings or supporting individuals with disabilities, including autism (desirable).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach when working with children from a variety of backgrounds and with differing needs.
The ability to be organised, proactive, and adaptable within a dynamic school environment.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development.
GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/Level 3 or above).Desirable Qualifications
