Join Our Therapeutic Community as a Youth Engagement Worker

Join our dedicated team, which includes therapeutic workers, a multidisciplinary team, and a clinical team working at our therapeutic community with an onsite school and clinical support. We utilize approaches such as Psychotherapy, CBT, EMDR, Schema-focused therapy, and life story work to promote healing from trauma, build confidence, and self-esteem, helping children believe in themselves and realize their potential.
Our goal is to support young people aged 11-18 with social, emotional, and mental health needs to recover from trauma within a therapeutic community setting. You will collaborate with clinical and education teams to inspire and empower young people to move forward positively and rebuild their self-esteem and confidence.
This role requires working shifts from Monday to Sunday, with every other weekend off.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Support young people aged 11-18 in a residential setting, assisting with daily activities
2. Provide therapeutic support to children with emotional and behavioral difficulties and promote independence
3. Maintain a positive and proactive approach to supporting young people's progress
4. Engage with young people in the community and residential settings to facilitate positive outcomes
5. Offer emotional support and demonstrate emotional resilience
6. Understand safeguarding processes and ensure compliance
7. Keep records and contribute to care plans
8. Focus on achieving positive outcomes for the young people
9. De-escalate challenging behaviors
10. Work effectively as part of a team
Key Requirements and Skills:
1. A caring nature and willingness to support vulnerable individuals
2. Experience or interest in EBD, SEMH, sexualized behavior, and mental health
3. Qualifications in Psychology, Health and Social Care, Criminology, or Teaching
4. Ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
5. Full UK Driving License
6. Willingness to work shifts including weekends
7. Over 21 years of age
