About the Role:
We are seeking a committed, experienced, and motivated Supervising Senior Caseworker to join our specialist Immigration and Legal Aid team. This senior position involves managing complex immigration caseloads, supervising a team of lawyers and caseworkers, and ensuring high-quality legal services.
This role combines legal expertise, leadership, and operational oversight, fostering a culture of learning, compliance, and compassion aligned with our firm’s values.

Joining as a Senior Caseworker with IAAS Supervisor status means influencing our Legal Aid services’ standards and culture, supervising staff, managing legal risks, and contributing to positive client outcomes within a collaborative team environment.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:
* Provide leadership and management to caseworkers, trainees, and solicitors.
* Manage a portfolio of Legal Aid and private immigration cases, including asylum, human rights, detention, trafficking victims, entry clearance appeals, judicial reviews, and tribunal cases.
* Oversee case allocation and capacity planning.
* Prepare and manage Legal Aid funding applications and documentation.
* Draft legal documents such as witness statements and representations.
* Represent the firm at conferences, hearings, and court.
* Deliver internal training and ensure legal quality within the team.
* Support business development and marketing initiatives.
Key Skills Required:
* Valid Practicing Certificate and IAAS Level 2 Senior Caseworker accreditation.
* Supervisory experience and performance management skills.
* Strong knowledge of immigration, asylum, detention, and public law.
* Experience with Legal Aid funding, billing, and compliance.
* Exceptional client care skills, especially for vulnerable clients.
* Leadership style focused on collaboration, training, and mentoring.
* Advocacy experience is advantageous.
* Proficiency with IT and case management systems.
* Experience in immigration tribunals and private client immigration matters.
* Knowledge of audit processes, capacity reporting, and team performance monitoring.
