Business Development Representative
Telent is seeking a new team member for the Sales division within the Network Services sector. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking outbound sales professional to join us as a Business Development Representative, focusing on building relationships with new and existing customers across sectors such as Emergency Services, Public Sector, Government, Utilities, and Nuclear.
This is a junior-level role offering a structured entry into Technology/IT Sales, supported by formal training and personal development plans. You will collaborate with the Sales team at our Warwick and Camberley offices, working at least one day a week at each location, with potential travel across the UK for client meetings. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are highly desirable.
The BDR role is vital to Telent’s market strategy. As you grow in the role, we will support your career development within the company.
Responsibilities include:
* Gaining comprehensive knowledge of Telent’s offerings and markets
* Supporting sales pipeline and growth through targeted research and outreach
* Creating and coordinating outreach campaigns
* Building a pipeline of contacts using various research tools
* Performing outbound outreach via calls, emails, and social media
* Following up on inbound leads and converting them into opportunities
* Analyzing and reporting on activities and pipeline progress
Candidate profile:
We seek candidates who are sales-driven, resilient, self-motivated, and practical in their approach. Relevant experience in B2B sales, especially outbound activities, is preferred. A university degree or equivalent is also desirable. Experience in related industries such as IT, Networks, Security, or Telecommunications is welcomed. A UK driving license and access to a vehicle are highly preferred.
