Our development programme consists of five modules and runs in parallel to your permanent job. The modules are designed to bring out your interpersonal and leadership skills, and complement the hands-on technical experience that you will gain in your role. We will also fully fund your academic qualification, the qualification you are enrolled on will be tailored to the role you will be doing, your academic level and personal ambitions. (We offer apprenticeships as well as other qualifications at various levels). What you will be doing: You will be enrolled onto an apprenticeship course in this field, to suit your current educational level. We can offer apprenticeships from a level 3 to a degree level apprenticeship fully funded by Galliford Try. The course level will be discussed with you at interview stage and will be confirmed at offer. At the end of the programme, you will gain a qualification in this field as well as learning the practical skills for the role throughout. Alongside this, you will join us as part of our Trainee Development Programme, where you will be given the training and tools to develop your skills through a series of modules over a 2 year period followed by a graduation event. As an Apprentice Planner you will work closely with the Planner/Senior Planner in the development of detailed construction programmes and methodology. You will assist with the provision of planning support to a number ongoing of 'live' projects, as experience is gained this will develop into the provision of planning support during the tendering stage. This will include: Gain an appreciation of Project Management. Gain an understanding of the Pre-Construction and Construction Programmes. Assist in the development of pre-construction and construction programmes, taking into account design and procurement. Gain an understanding of programme logical activity linking and sequencing. Assist with the production of high-quality schedules produced in liaison with the project team. Understand the creation of a Work Breakdown Structure for programme development. Assist with the production of Tender Programmes for new work bidding Visit site and monitor current projects with colleagues to assist with the provision of planning support and ensure accurate progress reporting.
