SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30-15:30
Start Date: 1st September 2026
About the Role:
Tradewind Recuitment are looking for a 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a unique opportunity supporting 16-24 year old students in a mainstream Further Education setting. This role will run until the end of the term, with the opportunity to be extended. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students across a wide range of needs and learning abilities.
Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated support to students with SEND, aiding in their academic and personal development.
* Collaborate closely with educators to execute tailored learning plans.
* Cultivate an engaging, inclusive, and vibrant classroom atmosphere.
* Provide personalised assistance to students on an individual basis.
Requirements:
* Prior experience working with learners with SEND is highly preferred.
* An Enhanced Child & Adult DBS - or willingness to obtain.
* Possess educational qualifications or relevant credentials.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and a compassionate approach.
* Exhibit a genuine passion for fostering the growth and development of diverse learners.
