You will design and deliver inclusive catering training sessions over the course of a week that inspire confidence, independence, and creativity in our Chichester town commercial kitchen. Your teaching/training will help young people develop practical cooking skills, food hygiene awareness, and a sense of achievement - giving them the best opportunity to take up placements in the hospitality and catering workforce.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver tailored catering training sessions for young people with learning disabilities
* Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
* Promote independence and vocational skills through practical catering activities
* Collaborate with our leadership team and support staff
* Monitor the young people's progress to inform progress report and provide regular constructive feedback
Qualifications:
* A qualified Food Catering/Technology Teacher - preferred to have QTS/QTLS or equivalent
* Relevant vocational experience/qualifications in Food and Nutrition, Food Hygiene, Catering, Health and Safety, Hospitality
* Confident delivering engaging, hands-on training that develops both life skills and subject vocational knowledge
* A team player passionate about inclusion and the potential of young people to progress and contribute to the hospitality and catering workforce
