Overview
Capacity Analyst role at B&M Retail, based in Runcorn. This is a new opportunity within our Supply Chain Network.
The Capacity Analyst will be a member of the Supply Chain Central Operations team, reporting to the Network Capacity Manager. Responsibilities include building, updating, and refining warehouse capacity models that guide day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning within our logistics network.
Responsibilities
* Create, update, and improve network capacity models, ensuring accuracy and alignment to support planning and forecasting efforts.
* Analyse data and generate reports to drive operational and strategic projects, and standardise datasets and reporting processes for improved clarity and efficiency.
* Leverage data insights to influence decision-making and guide the evolution of logistics strategies.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with site teams and stakeholders across the organisation.
* Apply network optimisation tools to model scenarios and identify opportunities to enhance logistics flow efficiency.
* Translate complex datasets into clear, visual, and actionable insights that aid stakeholders in making informed choices.
What We’re Looking For
* A full UK valid driving license
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience with data analysis either through employment or degree
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (lookups, pivots, large data sets)
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in a similar role is beneficial
* ERP system experience is desirable
