Overview
As a BI Developer, you will translate data into clear insights to support decision‑making across the business, design data models, visualisations, and collaborate with Data Platform and Data Engineering teams on our cloud‑based data platform.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with business teams to understand data needs and design intuitive visualisations aligned with business goals.
* Build, maintain and optimise strong data models across different business areas.
* Ensure reporting is fast, scalable and easy to use.
* Identify opportunities to refine BI processes and strengthen data‑led decision‑making.
* Support the move to the modern cloud data platform, following best practice, security and compliance standards.
* Maintain clear technical documentation, respond quickly to BI incidents and change requests, and adhere to coding standards and design patterns.
* Help ensure the BI setup is reliable, consistent and scalable.
Requirements
* Solid experience with BI tools such as Power BI or similar.
* Strong SQL skills and a good understanding of data warehousing and databases.
* Working knowledge of ETL processes (e.g., SSIS, AWS Glue, DBT).
* Experience building or supporting data models.
Nice to Have
* Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
* Exposure to AWS services such as S3, Lambda or MSK.
* Interest in AI‑driven analytics tools.
* Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
* Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
