ROLE
1. Responsible for the identification, sourcing and purchase of all goods and services in line with the Business Procedures.
2. To deliver best value through the procurement processes and for being the main point of reference within the Company on all matters concerning the supply of these goods and services
3. Offer valued support, regulation & experience to the business, and to ensure best value is achieved for the Company and its customers through: Cost reduction Best working practices Continuous improvement Vendor reduction/identification Sourcing solutions Establishment of key vendor relationships Reduction in lead/delivery period

4. All DeepOcean employees whether permanent or temporary personnel, regardless of location are responsible for the Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Security compliance relating to the work that is performed by the Company.
5. In all phases of operations, due consideration shall be given to the safety and occupational health of personnel, the environment and Company assets, and Line Managers are to ensure that all work is performed in conformance with HSEQS requirements set out by Company and Client and applicable statutory regulations.
6. In accordance with the structure and governance of the Company, the position holder is to inform their Line Manager of any matters of importance regarding department or the performance of the Company.
KEY TASKS
7. Work closely with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders to deliver and improve the procurement service.
8. Ensure all Vendors are sourced, evaluated, and selected through the business Vendor Accreditation Programme.
9. Issue of appropriate Invitation to Tender/Request for quotation, discussing queries, analysing quotations and make recommendation to the appropriate budget holders.
10. Negotiate prices/rates, delivery dates, etc., to provided best value and formally issue Purchase Orders to reflect negotiated Agreements.
11. Place, amend and progress purchase orders for goods and services in accordance with requirements.
12. Expedite solutions to problems that arise in relation to delivery, quality, quantity, documentation, and cost.
13. Ensure accuracy of procurement system(s) as applicable.
14. Explore new product ranges and services in order to maintain competitiveness.
15. Act as the interface between customer and vendor to develop and maintain business relationships.
16. Analyse financial data, identify errors and solve problems regarding complex invoice queries.
17. Manage own workload to ensure purchasing deadlines are met.
18. Undertake additional duties as requested by Department Manager.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
33. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Administration is desirable.
34. Demonstrable experience may be acceptable in lieu of qualification.
DEMONSTRABLE EXPERIENCE
35. Up to 5 year’s experience in Engineering, Finance, Business or Commercial disciplines.
36. Procurement experience is an advantage.
37. Commercial/Technical acumen.
